If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use this website or engage our services. These Terms operate in conjunction with our Privacy Policy, Client Consent documentation, Telehealth Information & Consent, and Fees & Cancellation Policy.

2. Professional Registration & Standards
All psychologists providing services are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and practise in accordance with:

5. Eligibility & Client Responsibilities
By engaging our services, you agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information

Disclose relevant risks or safety concerns

Attend sessions punctually

Participate respectfully and appropriately

Inform us of changes to contact details or referral status
Services may be declined, suspended, or discontinued where required for safety, ethical, or legal reasons.

6. Client Suitability & Risk Management
Your psychologist may assess your suitability for services prior to, or during, engagement.
This may include consideration of:

Presenting mental health concerns

Risk of harm to self or others
-
Current medications or medical conditions
-
Social, environmental, or safety factors impacting treatment
Where clinically indicated, we may:

Recommend alternative or additional services
-
Require involvement of other healthcare providers
-
Postpone or discontinue sessions if appropriate risk management cannot be maintained
Participation in psychological services assumes the client is able and willing to engage safely and that relevant risk factors are disclosed accurately.

7. Appointments, Fees & Payments
Fees and payment arrangements are outlined in our separate Fees & Cancellation Policy. Unless otherwise agreed:

Payment is required at the time of service

Outstanding accounts may result in suspension of future appointments
Medicare, Private Health Insurance, WorkCover or other third-party funding eligibility is the client’s responsibility. We are not responsible for rebate refusal or insurer delays.

8. Cancellation & Non-Attendance
Our cancellation requirements are detailed in our Fees & Cancellation Policy. Unless otherwise agreed:

48 business hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment

Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur the full session fee
Exceptions may be made at our discretion.

9. Telehealth Services
Telehealth services are provided via secure platforms.
By participating in telehealth, you acknowledge that:

Technology disruptions may occur

Privacy risks exist outside our direct control

You are responsible for attending from a private and safe location
Telehealth may not be clinically appropriate in all circumstances. Full telehealth consent and risk information is provided separately in our Telehealth Information and Consent form.

10. Confidentiality & Legal Exceptions
Personal information and clinical material are handled confidentially in accordance with professional and legal obligations. Confidentiality may be limited where disclosure is required or authorised by law, including but not limited to:

When a court requires information by issuing a subpoena, or providing information is otherwise required or authorised by law

Where mandatory reporting obligations apply

When the psychologist believes you or someone else is at risk of serious harm

Other obligations under South Australian or Commonwealth legislation

11. Health Records & Retention
Health records are created and maintained in accordance with professional standards and applicable legislation. In South Australia:

Clients may request access to their health information, subject to legal limitations

A reasonable administrative fee may apply to access requests

Access may be restricted where release would pose a serious threat to life, health, or safety
Health records are retained in accordance with professional and legal standards, generally:

Adults: minimum 7 years from the date of last entry

Clients seen as minors: until at least age 25
Some digital service providers may store data on servers located outside Australia. Where this occurs, reasonable steps are taken to ensure compliance with Australian privacy obligations.
12. Electronic Communication & Technology Use
We may communicate via email, SMS, secure client portals, or practice management systems for administrative purposes. Electronic communication carries inherent privacy and cybersecurity risks. Where applicable, clinical note-taking technologies (including AI-assisted documentation tools) may be used in accordance with privacy and consent documentation. Use of such systems complies with applicable privacy laws and professional standards. No client information is used to train external artificial intelligence systems.
